Heaven for Lobster Lovers – 57th Street, Marriott Sukhumvit

UPDATE: Unlimited lobsters are no longer provided since August 2015. Now, only one lobster per diner.

Friday is the only day of the week that I am particularly choosy about where I have dinner. During the week, we work hard. Sometimes we work too hard that we simply have tasteless sandwiches or instant noodles. We may even skip our meals to finish our work. We have to, very reluctantly, turn on the eating-for-survival mode. After all, we all strive hard for three meals, why not eat better on a Friday night to celebrate the beginning of weekend? Why not treat myself a big feast of quality food? Last Friday, I chose to have dinner buffet at 57th Street at Marriott Sukhumvit.

I looked around after sitting at my dining table and was astounded to find one thing in common among all diners in 57th Street. They were all having lobsters. Here at 57th Street,  Boston lobsters are not served on ice. They are all ordered to cook in the way you prefer.

I didn’t order Singaporean chili lobster as I don’t eat spicy food. Among the other four lobster dishes, I especially like grilled Boston lobster with garlic butter. Fresh lobster was grilled just right without the need for additional seasoning. It tasted heavenly yummy with the aromatic garlic butter. Most importantly, there is no limit on how many lobsters you order. If you are a lobster lover, this dinner buffet is surely a heaven for you. How many did I have? Six.

Despite lobsters, other succulent seafood such as oysters, mussels and prawns was served to satisfy seafood lovers.

If you don’t feel like seafood on ice, you can always order to cook the seafood in the way you prefer. All you need to do is to tell the Chef what you want and the dish will be served to your table. No queuing, no waiting line.

A dinner buffet would not be complete if there was no sushi or sashimi.

There is a very special food counter at this dinner buffet that no other restaurants have, and I am sure you will like it a lot. It is the Tom Yum soup counter. The Chef was so amazing that she could make the tom yum in the way you like. May it be less spicy, super spicy or even in clear soup, just tell her what you want and she will play the magic in front of you. I had two big bowls of tom yum with lots of assorted mushrooms and prawns.

After the soup, I had my main dish – Roasted Wagyu steak and lamb leg. Three words concluded my main dish – tender, delicious and impressive. The Wagyu steak is highly recommended to you all.

If you don’t like meat, try their grilled salmon!

Finally I ended my Friday treat with their mouthwatering dessert and cheese with satisfaction.

If you feel like a Friday treat for yourself, try this dinner buffet at 57th Street, Marriott Sukhumvit. This dinner buffet is served on Friday and Saturday, from 1800 to 2230 hours at THB 1,615++/person only. Free flow of wine is also available at THB 509++/person.

We recommend this dinner buffet to you all.
