Many food lovers love all-you-can-eat seafood dinner buffets in Bangkok. Atelier at Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit has just rolled out their new seafood dinner buffet promotion for Sunday through Thursday, featuring blue crabs and many other kinds of seafood including tiger prawns, shrimps, mussels, and clams. Gourmet Bangkok, of course, tried this weekday seafood dinner buffet at Atelier. Is it good? Should you try it?
Reasons why the seafood buffet at Atelier at Pullman Bangkok Grande Sukhumvit is worth trying:
(1) An all-you-can-eat seafood buffet featuring the most crab dishes
Despite grilled blue crabs, there are many other crab dishes that are prepared to win crab lovers’ heart! What you should not miss is the crispy soft shell crabs. If you like spicy food, try the Indian-styled curry crab – malabar crab masala. If you prefer simple, healthy way of cooking crabs, steamed blue crabs with basil is your choice. Crab dishes vary from time to time so that diners will not get bored.
(2) A lovely dessert corner
For weekday dinner buffet, the dessert counter at Atelier is really impressive. Despite the housemade ice-cream, cakes and sweets, the a la minute crepe is one of the must-try desserts. I especially like the mixed ice-cream that the chef prepares fresh on a cold panel. It’s exciting to see the chef in action mixing my choice of toppings such as corn flakes and apple crumbles with the selected flavours of ice-cream. Don’t forget the sexy chocolate fountain!
(3) Tender grilled beef tenderloin
The grilled beef tenderloin was my favourite at this seafood buffet! As a meat lover, the beef tenderloin was grilled perfectly to medium-rare as per my order. I, of course, highly recommend you to advise the chef how you would like your tenderloin to be done! Otherwise, you may not be able to experience the best steak of your preference. Juicy beef tenderloin…how many pieces did I have? 7 pieces!
(4) Quite a lot of food choices
Despite seafood, there are quite a lot of food choices such as sushi and sashimi, pizzas, Thai hot dishes, self-service salad, self-service somtam, Thai noodles, a la minute pasta, Indian cuisine, cheese and quite a lot of choices of appetisers.
(5) Enjoy free-flow of soft drinks
At this dinner buffet, you can enjoy free flow of soft drinks. Choices include soda water, Coke, Diet Coke, Coke Light, Sprite, and Fanta. What’s more, coffee or tea is also included in the buffet for diners to enjoy a cup of their favourite coffee at the end of your feast! Honestly, it’s really attractive. Why? Not so many dinner buffets, especially weekday dinner buffets, will offer free flow of non-alcoholic beverages.
(6) Free-flow of wine at a super affordable price
I like the idea of giving diners a choice for free-flow of wine. At this weekday dinner buffet, free-flow of wine costs merely an additional of THB 400++. If you prefer some sparkling wine, it is only THB 500++. Imagine a surf-and-turf weekday seafood dinner buffet with wine costs you around THB 1,300, I think the price is reasonable.
Will Gourmet Bangkok recommend this seafood dinner buffet?
Diners can receive 50% discount when booking directly via their website, so it costs only THB 834 nett per person! At this price, I have nothing to complain about this buffet at all.
