If you like to enjoy chillaxing brunch on Sunday with your loved ones and friends in a modern, friendly ambience with beautiful view, Viu at the St. Regis Bangkok can be one of your choices. With the ravishing golf course at the Royal Bangkok Sports Club under your eyes, a classic Martini and a pan-seared foie gras in an elegant dining ambience, you will surely indulge in an epicurean Sunday at Viu with joy.
Stepping into Viu, you will probably be attracted to its first food counter – dessert. Even you are not fond of desserts and sweets, you may still find it irresistible!
Main courses or premium delicacies such as lobster sashimi, grilled lobster with cheese, pan-seared foie gras, lamb rack, egg Benedict, etc are listed in a menu and are ordered to make. We would suggest you keep the menu after your first order, otherwise, you may not remember the whole list of premium delicacies for your fullest enjoyment at this brunch. Among all, you should not miss their lobster sashimi, pan-seared foie gras, grilled lamb rack and grilled lobster!
Another most popular food counter is seafood. The only disappointment we experienced in this brunch was the supply of oysters. We found that oysters were scarcely available after 14:00 hours. In fact, we did not have the chance to try their oysters.
Sushi and sashimi here were made fresh and the way they were arrayed for diners was appealing. You will never want to miss their scallops and sweet shrimps.
Quality Thai dishes such as somtam were also available at the brunch. The taste was quite authentic and not too spicy.
Other hot dishes available at the food counters:
(1) Grilled ham with honey
Italian counter – pizzas and pasta
Three kinds of soup were available. The most popular kind was, of course, the lobster bisque, which was thick and creamy!
If you would like some dim sum at your brunch. You may find this counter very tempting.
Premium cold cuts. A Sunday brunch is not a Sunday brunch if there is no parma ham.
The strongest pulling factor of this Sunday brunch is dessert and their fine selection of cheese.
Delicious ice-cream that will definitely end your brunch with happiness!
We are sure their cotton candy will remind you of your childhood.
When you see their selection of premium cheese, you will smile wide!
Chocolate fountain with fresh and dried fruits! One more sweet that you should not miss.
Overall, this Sunday brunch was pleasing. We would highly recommend you to fetch oysters early in the beginning of the brunch. We would also highly advise you to order their premium delicacies from their menu as much as possible. It would be nice if you could reserve your table early in advance to secure a dining table by the windows so that you could have the best view of the city. However, if you are a person who prefer to dine in a spacious area, you may not like Viu as all tables are quite close to each other.
