Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie Awarded Two Michelin Stars

Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok is delighted to announce that Anne-Sophie Pic at Le Normandie has been awarded Two MICHELIN Stars, a distinction that recognises the restaurant’s exceptional culinary direction, unwavering consistency and thoughtfully crafted guest experience. This honour marks an important moment in the evolution of one of Asia’s most celebrated dining rooms, reaffirming its position as a leading destination for French gastronomy in the region. The award was presented at The MICHELIN Guide Thailand Ceremony on 27 November 2025 in Bangkok.

Since reopening under Anne-Sophie Pic, the world’s most Michelin-starred female chef, the restaurant has introduced Bangkok to her distinctive, emotion-driven approach to cuisine. Central to her work is Suffusion, a philosophy that brings harmony through aromatic connections, creating a dialogue between flavours, textures and fragrances. This approach shapes every aspect of the menu, from the signature Berlingots to reinterpreted dishes such as Lobster Dashi with Red Fruits, each composed with clarity and depth. Further elevating the experience, the full tasting menu is also offered with an exploration-led, non-alcoholic pairing crafted exclusively from refined, nuanced beverages that mirror Chef Pic’s aromatic storytelling.

“Receiving two Michelin stars for our restaurant Anne-Sophie at Le Normandie moves me deeply. As we have just begun writing the first chapters of this adventure within the prestigious Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok, we are honored to see our commitment recognized. This award shines a light on an entire team driven by the constant determination to deliver a unique gastronomic experience in one of Asia’s most iconic venues”, said Anne-Sophie Pic.

The two-star recognition reflects the restaurant’s commitment to excellence. Chef Pic’s leadership has established a culinary identity that is both inventive and grounded in French culinary artistry. The Le Normandie team carries this vision forward with consistent execution and attentive service, creating an experience that honours the restaurant’s storied heritage.

Le Normandie has long been a landmark of refined dining since its establishment in 1958. Under Anne-Sophie Pic led by Tamaki Kobayashi, Chef de Cuisine, it continues this legacy while opening a creative new chapter shaped by her travels, her research at the Pic Lab in Valence and her intuitive understanding of flavour. The restaurant’s reimagined interiors by Humbert & Poyet further enhance the experience, uniting timeless elegance with a contemporary sensibility.

The two-star accolade is a testament to the shared values of Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok and Anne-Sophie Pic: respect for craft, a pursuit of excellence and a desire to offer guests an unforgettable journey of taste.
