SJM Resorts, S.A. (“SJM”) and the MICHELIN Guide Hong Kong Macao are joining hands to host two special collaborative “MICHELIN Star Table” events. Guest chefs from MICHELIN Starred restaurants around the world will descend upon Macau to host dinners at Palace Garden, set within Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau (“Grand Lisboa Palace”) in September and Robuchon au Dôme at Grand Lisboa Macau (“Grand Lisboa”) in November. These two culinary events demonstrate SJM’s commitment as a pioneer in gastronomy and its dedication to elevating Macau’s role as a Creative City of Gastronomy.
On 15 and 16 September, the first “MICHELIN Star Table” event will take place at Palace Garden, where Head Chef Ken Chong will partner with Head Chef Fung Cheung from 2 MICHELIN Stars restaurant Chao Shang Chao in Beijing to present four-hand collaborative dining experiences. Together, they will present a six-course dinner with wine pairing, featuring Cantonese crossover Chaozhou dishes. Set within Grand Lisboa Palace
on Level 3, Palace Garden is renowned for its Cantonese haute cuisine, where its elegant interior draws inspiration from ancient imperial gardens and celebrates China’s magnificent Chinoiserie period. Chao Shang Chao is dedicated to preserving and highlighting the authentic flavours of Chaozhou cuisine, ensuring the original freshness of the ingredients and presenting sumptuous and exquisite Chaoshan feasts.
An additional “MICHELIN Star Table” event will be held on 15 and 16 November, where Executive Chef Julien Tongourian from 3 MICHELIN Stars restaurant Robuchon au Dôme will work closely with Gérald Passedat, chef and owner of the 3 MICHELIN Stars restaurant Le Petit Nice in France to create four-hand collaborative dining experiences. Together, the star-studded chefs will craft a special menu with wine pairing, featuring the finest of French cuisine. French restaurant Robuchon au Dôme, situated within the Grand Lisboa dome, offers breathtaking views and a superb menu of traditional French gastronomic dishes with fine wines and impeccable service, raising the bar for fine-dining experiences. Located in Marseille, France, Le Petit Nice is committed to sourcing rare seafood ingredients and creating refined French delicacies that are both artistic and aesthetically pleasing. Since 2008, both restaurants in Macau and France have successfully garnered the highly coveted 3 MICHELIN Stars accolade for 15 consecutive years.
