Continuing to push the boundaries of innovative plant-based dining in Hong Kong, Grassroots Pantry will collaborate with Chef Garima Arora of Bangkok’s hit Restaurant Gaa. Hailed by critics and media as one of the best new openings in Bangkok in 2017, Gaa provides a fresh perspective to progressive culinary storytelling by merging Garima’s Mumbai heritage and Noma and Gaggan training with Thailand’s abundant ingredients and flavours.
On April 27, cooking for the first time in Hong Kong, Garima will collaborate with Chef Peggy Chan of Grassroots Pantry on the ninth series of The Collective’s Table; a charitable culinary initiative aimed at challenging chefs to consider a heavier plant-based incorporation into their menus while bringing awareness to sustainable cooking practices within the industry.
The one-night menu will be themed as a 7-chakra dinner, utilising ingredients that either symbolise each chakra or help the healing process of those chakras.
The 7-Chakras Dinner collaboration between Garima and Peggy will feature a 7-course plant-based menu at HKD$780 + 10% service, with proceeds from the evening going to support the SATI Organization.
To complement the menu, an additional beverage pairing will be available at $280 + 10% for a non-alcoholic Elixir pairing or $480 + 10% for an all-natural wine pairing by La Cabane. Seating is limited and bookings can be made through Grassroots Pantry by calling +852 2873 3353 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
