The fine-dining scene in Bangkok is like a brilliant-cut diamond, proudly sparkling with diverse selections of local and international cuisines. This brilliant-cut diamond has recently upscaled one of its facets with Pruek Cruise.
While a sit-down fine-dining meal is a superior experience of all our five senses, enjoying fine-dining on a luxurious cruise like Pruek Cruise along Bangkok’s most famous River Chaopraya is another level of indulgence. Feel the breezes kissing on your face; smell the river and breathe in the prosperity along River Chaopraya under the moon; taste the unforgettable pairing of food and wine; see the chefs and bartenders in motions; and share the joy with your foodies in crime.

Thai Dinner – Set Menu
When we were led to our dining table. A box of the canapes was served to us. Clink! Toast for the beginning of our fine-dining experience on this luxury yacht!
Hokkaido Hamachi
Fresh Hokkaido Hamachi Tartare, sticky rice roasted with organic lemongrass and galangal
Be impressed with the authenticity of Thai cuisine. The flavours of lemongrass, galangal and spices enhanced the fresh taste of hamachi tartare, turning it into an unforgettable bite. We experienced distinctive layers of flavours striking waves of awe while savouring. The little crispy cracker on top gave a contrasting texture on the mouthfeel. It’s an enjoyable appetizer to start with.
Tiger Prawn
Tiger Prawns served on pineapple fried with pink salt and chili, rice chip
It’s a cold dish with a giant fresh tiger prawn sourced in Thailand. The Thai curry-like sauce at the bottom was the soul of this dish. It adequately brought out the original juice of the prawn. The clever use of the pineapple added a hint of pleasing sweetness. To enjoy the best flavour and texture, fill your spoon with some prawn, a bit of pineapple, some sauce and rice chip. Then savour the whole bite to enjoy a rounded flavour of all ingredients.
Bum Bai Curry
The Heritage Thai Recipe of King Rama V, organic chicken breast, red curry, cucumber stuffed with chicken, tomato and string bean
Inspired by a traditional royal dish, this chicken breast with red curry was the main course. I was impressed with how the chicken breast was done – juicy and tender. This boring piece of chicken breast became heavenly tasty when eating with the flavoursome red curry! How much I wish I could have a big bowl of hot jasmine rice the very moment I put a spoonful of chicken and curry sauce into my mouth! Yummy!
Mango Sticky Rice
Smooth mango panna cotta served with organic mango, sticky rice, coconut and young mango sauce
The dessert was the forever popular mango sticky rice. This mango sticky rice was served at an elevated level. A mango panna cotta was put on top of the sticky rice, giving this dessert a multi-dimensional texture. It’s a dish I would not say ‘No’ to if more is to be served.
Petit Fours
Tamarind macaron / coconut madeleine / Thai tea cake
This Thai meal ended in a very French way – a petit fours was served! I especially like the tamarind macaron which was not mildly sweet and sour. The three little pieces complemented each other’s flavours while calming our stomach with high satisfaction.
