The Okura Prestige Bangkok introduces their renowned afternoon tea set quarterly. Each innovative tea set is the creation of their talented pastry chefs at the Hotel. For this quarter (July-September 2017), The Okura Prestige Bangkok proudly presents another impressive afternoon tea set at Up & Above – Lavender Delight Afternoon Tea. This beautiful, romantically violet afternoon tea set is an inspiration from the scented lavender flowers, which “colorize” Furano, Hokkaido during summer. Afternoon tea experience at The Okura Prestige Bangkok
The afternoon tea experience at the Okura Prestige Bangkok has restored my faith that quality afternoon tea does exist. In the past, honestly, I seldom had an enjoyable afternoon tea experience. I was suspicious of the sandwich and sweets in the 3-tiered tray. ‘Was it the leftovers from the lunch buffet?’ always came to the mind the moment I ate one of the cakes from the tray.
What I experienced at The Okura Prestige Bangkok was the freshest food in an unconventional presentation. From the paper placemat to the decoration on the dining table, the theme colour of the Lavender Delight Afternoon Tea was elegantly pronounced. From the moment we were at the Up & Above to the moment we finished the Lavender Delight Afternoon Tea, I found no flaws in terms of services and dining ambience. The high ceiling and breathtaking view of the city centre elevated my afternoon tea experience to its finest!
If I rank the afternoon tea at The Okura Prestige Bangkok as the second best, I won’t be able to identify the best one ~ Neng
