Galleria Milano is a new Italian restaurant opened for about half a year at Mille Malle Community Mall inside Sukhumvit Soi 20. If you feel like authentic Italian cuisine, Galleria Milano is one of your choices.
Galleria Milano was founded with a special passion for the authenticity of Italian cuisine. From sourcing quality ingredients to how to cook them into palatable dishes, we witness the diligence and devotion of the passionate chef at Galleria Milano – Chef Armando.
Eating at Galleria Milano makes you feel very comfortable and enjoyable. Why? You can always order any off-menu dishes. Provided that all required ingredients for your dishes are available, Chef Armando will make your wish come true! It is sooo Italian – if you like it, we can do it!
Turning to food, I am not sure if you have been to Italy. If yes, your first bite of any dish here will surely tell you “Yes, it is Italian”. As the slogan of Galleria Milano, “eating the Italian way”, suggests, all diners here will be served in an Italian way, having authentic Italian food and enjoying a meal in an Italian style.
On the day of our visit, we have tried a few off-menu dishes which were to be featured in their New Year menu. If you want to try them, show the pictures to the Chef and he will play the magic!
Homemade bread
Love this basket of bread! Aromatic, and fluffy! Just couldn’t stop eating!
Artichoke salad with goat’s cheese, Parmesan shaving, and walnut
This salad is unique and very Mediterranean . Instead of leafy veggie, artichoke is used as the main ingredient. Together with chopped walnut, the mouthfeel was refreshing and crunchy. Goat’s cheese is a salty addition to this salad, while also acting as the creamy dressing when it mixes with the juice of the artichoke and olive oil. Lovely!
Octopus carpaccio
This appetizer is an off-menu dish that impressed my taste buds a lot! Putting a piece of octopus in the mouth filled the nostril with rich aroma of fresh flavourful octopus. Spooning the generous piece of octopus with Italian black olive, chopped tomato, garlic, lemon juice and olive oil together brought me unforgettable, rounded savour to my appetite.
Hokkaido Scallops with Italian black rice, foie gras and black truffles
Another off-menu dish that I highly recommend to you. Jumbo Hokkaido scallops were slightly pan-seared with olive oil and sea salt, keeping its juice and freshness very nicely. Italian black rice was used in this dish to create an intoxicating aroma and a rich, nutty flavor. The rice was not cooked to dense, chewy or sticky texture, making it more like a special sauce to the scallops. With the aromatic black truffles and pan-seared creamy foie gras, this dish impressed senses of smell and taste. In fact, when this dish was served on the table, its scent filled the air and made my mouth water! A plate-licking dish!
Lobster bisque with braised octopus with lemon, potato mash and scampi
Really fall in love with this lobster bisque, not just because of the flavoursome lobster bisque, but because of the eye-appealing plating. The lemon potato mash shocked my sense of taste. I have never thought that a few drops of lemon juice could play so much magic on the creamy potato mash. Another blow-my-mind dish that I could not shake off its image for days.
Ravioli with Prague ham and black truffles
Having off-menu dish is a blessing. I highly recommend you to forget about table manner when enjoying this dish. Open your mouth big and eat the whole piece of ravioli with the black truffle. Then breathe in through your throat while keeping your mouth closed, now a strong scent of black truffles travels from your nostril to your throat exciting your taste buds for the first bite. Second layer of aroma from Prague ham leaks out from the ravioli. By the time the juice inside the ravioli explodes inside your mouth, I am sure you will not help spooning another piece. Love it so much!
Rack of lamb, crust of sechuan pepper, pistachio mustard, red wine gravy
The contrast of crunchy crust and tender, juicy lamb enhanced the uniqueness of this dish! The red wine gravy added fantastic flavour to the lamb rack, making it a very palatable main dish! I love the puree as well, very smooth and light!
Dessert platter
This is a special dessert platter Chef Armando prepared for me. No matter how full I was, I really enjoyed every single piece of the dessert, especially the millefeuille, lemon custard fruit tart and tiramisu! They were not too sweet, but contained layers of distinct flavours!!! A super tempting dish that no one can resist! Another reason that I should return to Galleria Milano.
Galleria Milano is also open for lunch and afternoon tea. No matter what dishes you would like to have, Chef Armando will bring to you his earnest recommendations and his passion in authentic Italian cuisine!
We highly recommend Galleria Milano to you all.
